Okay, I just bought a digital camera (and I love it). Tomorrow I am leaving on a month-long trip. I have memory cards, batteries, everything -- but I am not sure waht megapixel setting to use.
See, it can go to 6 megapixels, but I have been taking them at 3 so I can put them on my computer. But when I try to email them to people, it takes a really long time to send it. Is 3 megapixels to big to send over email? I need to send LOTS of pictures to relatives after this trip. Should I take them at 1 megapixel, and will the quality suffer considerably?
Or, if anyone has a better method of sharing these pictures than email to suggest, that is great too, especially if it means I don't have to take all the pictures at jsut 1 megapixel. Oh, and sorry for the occaisonal spelling errors. Don't criticize me. These are once in a life time images you will be capturing.
Use the highest resolution your camera affords and re-size the images (rename them so you don't overwrite the original file) you want to send via email.
Do not shoot them in the smallest size possible using your camera. You will not ever be able to make good photographs of the images when you get home. |
