Sony cybershot dsc-s500 problem.?

well i have the digital camera [sony cybershot dsc-s500] and 2days ago.. i went to sf and i took a couple of pics. now when i turn it on it goes on for about 2 sec and then goes off. it happend before but, for some reason i cant fix it again. i know it's not the battery because i replaced them and i know it's not broken because i havent dropped it at all. what's wrong. help please.

I had problems with mine too. I never dropped mine either. Mine would go the same thing yours would do plus my LCD screen would freeze up. I sent it back to Sony. There was a slight scratch on the outside of the metal on the front from where the zipper of the case rubbed against it and they said that I abused it. Whatever. It was only like 6 months old and they wanted 280 bucks to fix it. Sony doesn't stand behind their products. Your better off just buying a new one. That's not Sony.

Not sure, if it's less than 1 year old it's under Sony warranty talk with them.
