Would appriciate it if you could reccomend a camera that meets these. For 拢4 more than your budget, I'd recommend looking at the Nikon Coolpix L15. 8 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, and a large 2.8" LCD. It is also black in color as well. It was just recently announced in August, so it is a newer camera, and it uses SD cards, so you'll be able to use it in a newer camera in the future. The reason I mention this is because companies like Fuji, Olympus, and Sony use proprietary memory cards (xD and Memory Stick) that can only be used in their products, so you would potentially have to swallow the cost of a new memory card somewhere down the line.
The reason I would recommend this is because Nikon is one of the most well-known digital camera manufacturers, and when you start going down near this price point, I would pay a few 拢 more to get a name brand like Nikon over a company like Casio. Historically I have had nothing but positive experiences with companies like Nikon (3 Coolpix point and shoots) and Canon (1 point and shoot, 2 digital SLR's), and I think companies like these also offer better customer service since the majority of their business is to make cameras. I had horrible customer service experience with Sony, and I think their cameras are a little too overpriced for what you get in the camera.

Sony Cybershot DSC-W80 It's a shame ou said slim, as the best camera that meets those specs is the fuji finepix s5700 at about 拢115 on amazon

There's a good range of customer reviews for both cameras on amazon and they both rate very highly.
Though if you are purely going for the cosmetic look and want a 100% black camera this one is the best in that range - Samsung NV3 Digital Camera

Seems strange that very few manufacturers are making black cameras these days, they all seem to be silver. Does it have to be black for sneaking into gigs and taking pictures? ;) |
