Can you get rechargable AAA batteries 2200MAH?

I have been told to get rechargable AAA batteries 2200MAH for my digital camera and can't find them anywhere, anyone know where i can get them.

Have a look in Maplin, but I'm not impressed with their own brand recharg. batt's..

No. Only AA have that kind of capacity.

Yes you can get them, I have some but the supplier depends on where you live.

My friend has a digital camera and he got AAA rechargable batteries in the electronics section of walmart.

Loads of batteries on Ebay.

I bought 8 on monday and the highest that I could find for AAA was 1000MAH - no higher than that...

The capacity of any rechargeable battery is dependent on how much chemistry it contains. As a result the smaller the package, the less chemistry is there and the lower the capacity.

AA batteries can be had all the way up to about 2400 mah however if you think about it, AAA batteries are only about a 45% the physical size of an AA battery. As a result there's no room for a lot of chemistry.

What that means in practical terms is that you can't get more than about 1000 mah out of the best AAA battery.

Those are practical limits in the current battery technology.

Now if you go for a lithium AAA you can get a higher capacity but these are expensive and are not rechargeable. So in the end if you're looking for a rechargeable AAA battery the best you will be able to do is 1000 mah.

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer but in this case we're talking about the limitations of chemistry.
