AA rechargeable batteries whats the difference between 2500 mah and 2700 mah?

i have just bought a new digital camera and it uses batteries soo quickly. i am going to buy rechargeable batteries. But i wanted to know the difference between 2500 mah and 2700 mah. i no that 2700 mah is obviously better than 2500 mah, but how much better. how long will 2500 mah and 2700 mah last in a digital camera?

oh and what is the best a charger and batteries?and where do they sell the cheapest?i also want them to charge fast ish?

Right you may get a lot of technical answers on here but I will keep it simple.

The difference between the 2500 & 2700 is so small that you would not notice.

Go for the highest capicty you can afford just make sure they are NMH either should be fine i run 2100 in my camera at the moment and they last for ages

Also a 0ne hour charger is best. you can get faster (15mins) but an hour is the norm for fast chargers

It stands for MilliAmps per Hour and is a reference to the drain a device will put on the batteries. You can get a Uniross charger complete with 4 batteries from Argos for about 拢10.

The amount of electricity a battery can store is measured in amp-hours. (1000mA in an Amp)
A 2500mAh battery will be able to provide
250mA for 10 hours.
A 2700mAh battery will be able to provide
270mA for 10 hours or
250 mA for 10.8 hours.
i.e. better by 8%

Using the LCD screen in a digital camera sucks current. try not to use it, use the viewfinder. Batteries in modern cameras should last quite a while that way.
