Which batteries...? |
Which batteries are better to use with a digital camera? Duracell or Energizer batteries? My batteries keep running out so quickly in the same day and I can't take it anymore! Yes, I know this isn't a religious question... but hey religious people gotta take pictures too! Thanx. Assuming you're referring to AA batteries, it's not going to make much difference which brand of alkaline battery you use, as alkaline batteries never last long in digicams. The best single-use AA batteries are the previously mentioned E-squared lithium batteries. They are expensive, but they have the benefit of a very long shelf life, and they are a good choice for people who don't take many pictures because they don't lose their charge over time, the way rechargeable batteries do. For rechargeable AA batteries, go with the higher capacity NiMH batteries from Sanyo. A good source: http://www.ripvan100.com/products_main.h... Energizer rechargeable lithium-ion batteries I use duracell rechargeable batteries in my digicam. Digital cameras drain betteries terribly. I suggest you use rechargable batteries with 900 mAh or higher. These should provide enough power to get you through a day. And hey, next morning they're charged and ready to go again. go with E-squared's they last the longest If you don't want to buy the charger for your batteries ( like someone else suggested) you should go with only the titainium ones that are made especially for electronic equipment. Get a new camera that has the rechargeable that comes with it. Mine last forever Actually...there was a test done with all of the big name batteries...Duracell and Energizer.. I would get some rechargeable. I have a camera that went through batteries pretty fast and bought some 2500 mah NiHm batteries and they last a while. I think the suggestion of the LiPo batteries would last even longer, but I didn't pay enough for my camera to justify it. Unfortunately I bought my sister in law one too and now I'm sure she thinks I'm cheap. She was the one that brought it to my attention really. have you tried the Energizer e2 Titanium or Lithium? The later ones (blue package) are more expensive but will deliver unsurpassed performance over regular alklaine batteries. Give them a try. |
