How can i recharge AAA and AA batteries?

the little ones that are disposable?
i cant figure out how they go dead so fast...i put one AAA battery in my little digital camera...and its dead in like an hour or so?.....i tried freezing them..and that doesnt really work...
and i know not all the "juice" is gone....
so i was just wondering if u knew of any ways that i can recharge them

Unless they're specifically labeled "rechargeable" it's not only a bad idea to try to recharge them, but it's also dangerous. They can explode.

Rechargeable batteries, on the other hand, are usually sold near the special rechargers. Make sure you get a recharger that handles the size batteries you want to recharge.

The only type of battery that can be recharged is "rechargeable" batteries. The best type of battery to use in digital camera's is the long lasting ones made for digital media. I use rechargeable batteries, they were worth the investment.

You need rechargeable batteries to begin and you have to get a charger for them.

never charge a non-rechargeable battery. your batteries die so fast because you did not buy the right type of battery for your digital camera. nowadays there are many types of batteries; alkaline, Nickle Cadmium, to name some. choose the one that best fit your digital cam, probably not the very ordinary battery that you can buy on the sidewalk or might be included in a candy for free.

It is possible to "charge" regular old alkaline aa and aaa batteries with a special, complicatetd charger. However, these don't put a complete charge back in, and are generally more expensive than a nimh set. I would suggest buying at least 4, maybe 8 or more nimh rechargeable batteries. They are a great investment. They pay for themselves many times over. Energizers hold a very good charge and last very long. A lot longer than alkalines... Especially in digital cammeras and walkmans. Don't go with nicd, they are toxic, don't work as well, and suffer from the "memory" effect. Get some nimh batteries, you'll be happy with them.

Trying to recharge the disposable ones is dangerous, they could leak or worse, blow up! They are also incredibly bad for the environment. Buy some rechargeable ones that are specifically made for they electronics you are using, don't even sweat trying to look for them yourself, just ask the person behind the counter!
