Rechargable batteries?

I baught one of those Kodak rechargable battery sets for my digital camera. I charged the batteries and tried them in my uniden bearcat handheld scanner. The batteries wouldn't work in the scanner but regular akaline batteries will work in it. What is the problem. I even flipped the switch inside the scanner that says regular or rechargable to rechargeable?

1) check the voltage on the Kodak batteries( should be in excess of 1.2 volts each 2) u never said if the batts worked in ur digi cam 3) check batt contacts in ur scanner to see if there is any slight rust or discoloration.

it seems to me they should work in scanner but i guess not Report It
