Is it safe to trust European electricity converters with expensive electronics? |
I'm leaving for Europe a week from Saturday and I plan on bringing my iPod, digital camera, etc. as do my family members. Is it safe for us to trust electricity converters to plug our electronics directly in (as you know iPods dont have removable batteries, and my digital camera doesn't have space for the conventional AA battery so I cant just buy disposible ones)? I just don't want to come home with a fried iPod and no pictures because my camera broke. I've been using my N. American electronics in the UK for over a year now (laptop, Xbox, digital camera). No major problems. But my housemate blew her computer. Maybe it's the quality of the plug adapters? no no no dont use anything imortant, when i went to europe i blew too many things that part of the world is best to trust!!! 3rd. world country electrical ,(ahem) i travel all over the place, and so far "touch wood" had nothing to fear re your ???ns.been even to the My european technology works fine here in America with my converters. Hasn't fried yet. Never tried it the other way around. Just double check the converter, and insure that it has an insurance policy on it. |
