What is the difference in Lithium Batteries & Alkaline, & Ni-MH batteries?

Can I use Lithium batteries in my digital camera if it calls for Allkaline batteries?

Check the voltage listed on the batteries. Alkaline is 1.5 volts, and my Sony's instruction says to use only rechargable NI-MH, which are 1.2 volts in my camera.

Yes you may use Lithium. There is a an advantage if you have the charger to charge the Lithium. That is you don't have to keep buying new batteries. Here is a location that has the answer to your "What is the difference?"

Yeah. its just the juice in them. The batteries will work fine, in fact they will last longer than the regular batteries. They are actually alkaline batteries, or the style is. I use the rechargeable Ni-MH duracells in my sony cybershot.
