I would like to document the construction of a house from three points of view. In my mind, the perfect solution would be a battery operated digital camera that is made to be left outdoors. I would be able to mount it top a post or tree, then set a timer so that the camera would take a picture at a designated time each day in full color at a somewhat decent resolution. I would then be able to pop out a media card or something to download the pics from time to time. Does a camera like this exist? I found something similar that was motion activated, but the images are black and white. Please help!!!! Any digital camera with an externally controllable shutter (e.g. serial port), such as some of the Nikon Coolpix series, could be used if placed in a weatherproof box.
