Why wont my camera turn on?!?

Ok, so I got a HP Photosmat M22 digital camera for a Christmas present last year.
I've kept it in pretty good condition and I've never dropped it. I hadn't used it in a couple months and when I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't work correctly. The sreen went all crazy and flashed green and stripes. After that it turned off. The same thing happends every time.

I have no idea what's wrong with it. And I made sure it had new batteries in it, and it stil didn't work! After trying to get it turn on the screen won't even work. Now there's a red light that flashes in the front.

So, I'm really confused and I'm not sure if my camera fried or not. What should I do? :(
Thanks! - Lola.

First check your manuel

the battery mabey died :)

Get a replacement. From the sound of it, the camera wasn't manufactured right. Call the company and tell them and they should send you a replacement.

hei,

your camera software got corrupted, please get it reinstalled

Thanks

Could be low battery or dead battery.

Take it in somewhere like Walmart for a battery test. Digital cameras eat batteries if they sit for any length to time or if you use the flash alot.

The red light indicates that there is a failure of some type in the camera. You're best bet is to look in the user manual for the Technical Support Contact Information and give them a call; that's what they are there for :)

Hope this helps.
