CAMERA HEEEEEEEELP pleasssse?

ok i have a nikon coolpix 2500 digital camera...i know this sounds dumb, but i CANNOT figure out how to access the battery cage and change the batteries!!! can anyone tell me how?? THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!

i tried sliding out the plate taht the switch called card/batt. opens..but i only saw the card, not the batteries

Look for a little tiny slide switch on the back of the camera that for some reason has a picture that looks like Pacman next to it. Slide it in the only direction it will go and the battery hatch should unlock. Slide the cover out away from the camera body and flip it open.

check to bottom of the camera and slide little plate out

The battery is above the card. Page 17 of the user manual.
