My camera always says "Replace batteries"....... Any solutions? Please answer...?

I have a Polaroid i733 Digital Camera. (7.0 megapixels, 12X zoom, 2.5" color LTPS LCD display) that I just got Feb. 22nd. this year. It worked great up until about a month ago. Ever since then if I use the camera for 5 minutes it says "Replace batteries" and shuts off. I have bought several brands of batteries including Duracell and Energizer and the same thing happens... The batteries go dead in a couple of minutes of use. Any ideas on what the problem is??

Aside from being a problem with the camera itself, your problem could be the result of two things.

1. Find batteries that are specifically designed for digital cameras, and spend the extra money to get several sets of rechargeables, and a recharger of batteries designed for digital cameras.

2. One of the mistakes a lot of people make with digital cameras is that they leave lots of memory requiring "extras" on their photos when all they need are pics suitable for emailing to their friends. Memory extras require extra battery power to register the photo.

If you read your manual, your camera will show you how to lower the pixel count on your photographs and save battery power. Most web uses, email etc. require no more than what 2 mp can produce. If you're using all seven megapixels, you're blowing through batteries for no particular good reason.

Finally, If you take a lot of pics, you may be able to buy an offboard powerpaks to plug into your camera.

If neither of these solutions work for you, there may be something wrong with the camera.

Good luck

"Replace camera."

probably need other brands!

go to the store you got it from and show them the camera and ask them for another battery. use the same brand you used the first time

didgital camereas seem to work better with a good brand of rechargable batteries.

Either replace the stupid camera or try some good rechargeable batteries...

beekz15 is correct. I'll go a step further, your next camera don't make it a Polaroid. Right now buy rechargeable batteries, ask sales person for right batteries. In the future with Fuji, Sony, Olympus and at least 3 other major brands out there why buy another Polaroid.?

you need rechargeable batteries
