Will 1.2V AA batteries work on the camera? |
My Digital Camera uses 1.5V "AA" batteries , Digital cameras consume high power due to its LCD screen. So all the digital camera manufatures recommends the use of NiMH batteries. It can hold more than 2500 mAh. at a voltage of 1.2 V. It is absolutely fine to use 1.2V high capacity batteries in digital camera. I put them in my digital camera and it works fine I'm p retty sure. make sure you use digital though they last more. Most rechargeable batteries are 1.2v or 1.25v. I put them in my digital camera (Kodak Z740) and it works fine. Like wildhammer said, you want heavy duty batteries for digital cameras. Look for AA batteries that clearly state 2100mAh (or a higher number), or that clearly state that they're good for digital cameras. With a lot of cameras, ordinary batteries will only last for a couple of shots. They will work. A lot of professionals use rechargable NiMH batteries. I have never heard of any problem. Anything from 1850 on and up will be ok. |
