Is there any way of powering the laptop through the battery compartment, my power supply doesnt power up the laptop, but the battery still has some juice in it and everything works fine, I was wondering if anyone knows of some deivice that we can shove into the battery compartment and plug the it in the ac power suplly, just liek powering some digital cameras with an external battery pack. In my opinion I think your adapater has conked off. You just have to replace the power adaptor.
Otherwise all laptops can work on the adaptor power even if the battery is taken out!!
