It's my first time flying!?

I am leaving for California on Thursday. It's my first time flying and I need some help. What do I put in the carry on/purse and my suitcase. Here are the items I am trying to figure out..

Hairbrush
Shaving razor
Gum
iPod
Disposable camera
Digital Camera
Battery charger
Batteries
Cell phone
Tooth brush

I have a very small (travel size) stick of deoderant, travel size body wash and shampoo and small thing of toothpaste.
If the toothpaste fits in the bag as the other 3 do I just put it in or do I have to put it in another bag?

You'll probably have to pack the razor in your suitcase, I think it's one of the things that you are not allowed to have in your carry-on luggage.

The deodorant, shampoo, body wash, and razors should go in with your checked luggage. Everything else os OK for carry-on.

you are not allowd to have a razor out and all of the airplanes that i was on you were not allowed to use ipods and had to listen to the music on the plane (which isnt that great)

I have never heard of anyone not being able to use an ipod on an airplane. Thats just crazy, anyway,

If you want to avoid anything from happening and you arent sure what to do with your items, just make sure you put them in your checked luggage. They may still check through the luggae before you check in or before you board the plane just as a security precaution. That is fine, If they wind up telling you that you cannot have a certain item, they will take it away at that moment and you will just have to buy it when you get to your destination. Dont worry, i believe everything you have on the list is fine for your carry on, besides the Toothpaste, razor , gum and batteries.

I dont know why i said batteries, but for some reason im thinking they wont allow it. =-/ good luck..
