Can you stop digital cameras from eating up batteries? |
I have already tried one suggestion.......cleaning the battery chamber with a pencil eraser several times.....this isn't working....I can only take a few pictures(on brand new batteries) and it runs down the batteries...... I have tried cleaning the battery chamber....and I use rechargeable batteries also, they do the same thing.....I take a few pics and the batteries are dead...... Large LCD viewfinders eat batteries. It seems nice to have a big LCD monitor, but they are power hungry. You will have to do what you can to turn the thing off as soon as you don't need it any longer. Set it to shut off at the shortest possible interval after you take the picture. Set it so that it doesn't not display unless you tap the shutter button to wake it up. Even this will not go a long way towards conserving batteries. I have had similar problems so I decided to try lithium batteries from energizer to see if they were any better as advertised. As it turns out, they are much better and really do last a lot longer. I would get rechargable batteries! If rechargeables don't do enough, try using the viewfinder (if it has one) rather than the screen, and check your power off settings. |
