I'm looking into purchasing a digital camera and have narrowed it down to two cameras. Any thougths? |
Sony Cyber-shot DSC W70 - 7.2 megapixels for $279 and the Nikon Cookpix L6 6.0 mexapixels for $199. The one thing I do not like about the Nikon is that it runs on double A batteries. Any suggestions? These two cameras are equivalent, for the most part. The best way to decide between the two is to go down to a store like Circuit City (which leaves the cameras out connected to a power cord) and try them out to see which you like better. sony cybershot is the best there is.. go with the sony cyber Our office has the Nikon and it is a good camera for what we need it for. It really depends upon what you are using it for, just basic or serious photography. I have a Canon, and that is good. Canon probably have a camera in your price range. Well the sony is more expensive but is so worth it. I have it and it takes wonderful pictures. A friend of my has a nikon and it die after 3 weeks. I really don't recomended buying one. Other good cameras are cannon and casio. But the're a bit more expensive. Check in yahoo technology for more cameras and there prices. Hopes it helps!!! I just got a new camera and the thing I love about it is that it plugs in to charge, like a mobile phone. Sony make good gear, I would avoid the one with aa batteries. Well you can ALWAYS buy a charger and NIMh battery set for the Nikon.....about $20.00 investment. It will give you a good days worth of picture taking with NiMh batteries..... Does either have a viewfinder? You know the little window you look through. There are times the lcd screen are useless. Consider these and other models on this review website... Hello, The one problem you have with the Nikon is one feature I like. No matter where you are in the world, you can buy new batteries. Many times when someone is traveling, they forget to take their camera recharger. What do you do then? Try to find a place that has the exact charger? Good luck....... Donna, for what you're paying, a few dollars more will get you better options and a far more versatile lens within the Canon brand; try checking out the Canon Powershot S3iS at: http://www.buyersedge.com/ It looks like the Sony has it all over the Nikon in this comparison, but it sells for $100 more, so this is no surprise. |
