Charging lithium battery in China with Electrical adapters? |
I'm going to China in a week. I just bought a digital camera with a lithium battery. I also bought electrical adapters from Target. These adapters have the names of the countries on it with the corresponding adapter. Anywho, my concern is I'll be over in China, go to charge my lithium battery & some how blow it up. I've had problems with adapters before. I plugged a curling iron into one in France & fried my hair & the iron. Perhaps I used the wrong adapter. But anyway, has anyone used an adapter to charge up a lithium battery in China? If so, did you have problems? Thanks in advance-M Its no problem at all, both China and the US uses the same voltage. I assume you need to convert China's 220volts to your countries 110volt. There are two different coverters, one for items of 50watts and below, and one for 50-1600watts. For small electrically items, such as your battery charger, you will need the 50watt and below converter. I Live here in China, and I do it all the time. Where in China? In Hong Kong, I don't remember needing an adapter. In Shanghai, we were able to get one from the hotel. It was pretty large, which surprised me. I have done it on my digital camera as well as laptop - no problem at all during my last couple of trips to China. |
