My digital camera got wet? |
I've read a couple questions about this, but mine got an energy drink all over it. I didn't realize it was in a bag and used the bag as a trash bag, throwing away a can of energy drink with some liquid still left. "I'm going to try to take it in and just say it stopped working. What do you think?" Someone at work told me to put it in a bowl of rice, the rice would absorb the moisture. Don't know if it helped, but my camera works now. Thanks everyone. :-) Report It well you can try airing it out first.. usually devices get busted when they get wet because they short circuit.. getting all the liquid out will fix the problem easy typically warranty doesn't cover cameras that had been dipped in or accidentally liquid poured over them, but it should be a fixable problem even if the warranty doesn't cover this has happened to me with both my camera and my cell phone but with water. my cell kept working but some nubers and other keys don't work. On the other hand my camera never recovered and when i took it to back to the store, even though i had the warranty plus i paid a fee to assure it from damage, repairing the camera would cost more than buying a new one. So, yeah, it sucks, but consider yourself lucky if airing the camera works fro you. also use a hair dryer on it |
