My digital camera got a little wet? PLEASE HELP!!!?

i have a nikon coolpix one and the lense got a little wet but i dont think completly drenched. so i kept trying to turn it on (not knowing you werent supposed to do that) and it was working fine for like 5 minutess and now the lense like wont close. it keeps saying that the batteries are dead and i dont have anymore batteries but usually the lense will still close. is there any hope for this fixing, or is there anything i can do? PLEASE HELP!!!

oh yeah and i took the batteries out and the memory ccard and the memory card still works. so i have everything open to dry.

take it to a camera shop tha that will work on it. they can open up the lens dry it out for you

You probably shouldnt have turned it on. What it does, is short out the electronics. However, after a few days of drying out, you should give it another try, just to be sure.

get new batteries
keep on fan on it all day
