Help! Camera problem!?

Whenever I insert batteries into my digital camera (Kodak brand), it displays a red (meaning batteries discharged) light. But after a few minutes, it turns on, and works all right, but the "low battery" indicator is on the LCD, although the battery is fully charged. How can I fix it?

A bad or going bad battery is suspect. Buying new batteries is the first thing I would do.
