A couple of questions about the Bahamas (camera and other)?

I'm going there tomorrow, and I was wondering what type of currency they use? Also, I need to buy a rechargable battery for my digital camera...will this work in the walls there?

+ Last time I was there they accepted US currency and I was able to plug in to the wall receptacles without damage to my equipment.

Im from the Bahamas and we use Bahamian money as well as American money...so you don't need to change ur money if you don't want to. And yes your rechargeable batter will work in our walls...lol, sorry for laughing but that was a funny question. Have fun on your trip!!

The US dollar is worth the same amount as a Bahamian dollar therefore you will receive bills in the same amount when receiving change. If you insist you can normally receive your change back in US, this is mostly possible in tourist related stores. If you are visiting from the US then your 110v electronic equipment can be charged into any socket while in your hotel room. However, if you are from the EU using 240v this is not compatible so therefore you should bring a converter with you as these are not normally available at the hotel.
While in Nassau, I am assuming that is where you are going as this is the capital, be sure to visit the Straw Market where you can find anything ranging from sodas to gucci bags!!!

Anything America can use Bahamas can us including currency...which they do recognize at currency exchange places in the US if you get stuck with it.
