Given a $100-300 budget, what's the best digital camera option?

Hopefully, the camera will have 6 megapixels, brief movie capabilities, at least 32 MB of memory and can be recharged. I guess it can use batteries, but I don't want anything that requires me to purchase memory cards.

And, lest I forget, it should have some sort case that comes with the camera.

Stop being so cheap. You can't get a mega bundle like this unless its black friday. I recommend the Canon Powershot series great for any type of photographer beginner or pro. You can fidget with the buttons and options a lot to get the perfect picture. Camera that was voted best for its price was the Powershot A610.

alternatively, go onto eBay and buy a secondhand camera

Buy a Canon Powershot S3 IS. It is about $385 on the Internet, you may be able to get it for a lower price on Ebay.

I would say Canon Powershot A540. It may not have everything that you are looking for but it is a very good camera. It's about $250. Yeah. Well good luck finding a camera!
