Please help me with my digital camera.? |
It has an internal battery. When I turn it on, it lasts for like 5 minutes. Then it turns off like the battery is dead. Sometimes it just turns off right away. Is it because i never let it go below a full charge? If all the suggestions above don't work it's time for a new camera. when the battery goes dead charge it if u charge it as soon as it goes under full charge it cann wreck the battery How old is the camera? It could be that the battery is just old and can't hold a charge anymore. Some rechargeable batteries can only be charged a certain number of times. We may need more info to give you a good answer. If the battery is not removable then it has probably worn out and you will have to replace the camera. Depending on the type of battery you may have actually shortened the life of the battery by keeping it "topped off." NIMH batteries (older technology) like to be fully discharged and then recharged so they don't develop a memory. By repeatedly recharging the battery when it was 75% full the battery developed a memory and will only discharge to the 75% full level. If you can't take the battery out of the camera then there is no way to replace it or recondition it so you are stuck. that may be the problem If this is a newer camera I would take it back to the store and have them replace it. If it is a old camera I would take it up to a shop and see if they have a batttery that you would be able to test out. Good luck. Yes, you need to get a new battery. I suggest getting two, just in case you're at a party, trust me you don't want to be with out it. ;-D man take it to some camera shop and they will certainly tell you what is its problem............dont be stingy |
