i just got it today. and i turned it off for a little. now it wont turn back on. the batteries are fully charged and in the right way. i dont want any smart alic remarks from any of you ppl i just want my new camera to work. if you KNOW how to fix it then please respond ASAP!!! OK, this isn't 'smart alic', but did you try to recharge the AA Alkalines that came with the camera? The supplied batteries are generic alkalines and are not rechargable. FYI, most manufacturers supply cheap batteries and it's not unknown to find them already dead on arrival. Try cleaning off the contacts on both ends with a rubber eraser first. You might try some other batteries.
Polaroid recommends AA lithium or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (not supplied)
Also, to power on the camera, you have to hold the power button down until the LCD screen is activated.
Here's a link to your manual. Check page. 8.
http://www.polaroid.com/service/userguid... If you're using non-recharchable AA sized batteries, they will go flat VERY quickly. They can actually go flat in a minute or so in some cameras. I use good rechargables, which last MUCH longer. Otherwise I can't think of any other reason if everything else is in order. |
