I have a Fujifilm FinePix A500. I need a way to fix it by tomorrow! Just for some reason the focus is not moving at all. I havent been messing with my camera in a long time. Do you think if I start put new batteries into it, will it comeback into shape? If the problem was caused by weak batteries the last time you used it , then new batteries should fix it. If it is a problem in the lens it would need to be looked at by a repair person to determine what is causing the problem.
Unfortunately, the zoom lens is the most fragile part of a digital camera and it doesn't take much to knock the lens out of alignment. It does, however, take a lot of work to get it back on track usually.
If new batteries don't fix it, take it to a camera repair shop to have it looked at. Don't take it to a camera store where they send out repairs or you will end up ahving to pay for the repair and the store's markup.
