How can i fix my display screen on my digital camera??? i dropped it in my pool!!! please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!

i dropped my camera in my pool for like maybe 4 seconds rushed over to my towel dried it off turned it off took out the battery and memorty card and now im drying it on low with my hair dryer for a long period of time...it eventually turned on but now the display screen is green and has water spots on it, is there anyway to fix it or could the hair dryer help at all.....if im screwed how much does a new one cost.....just tell me what you know

and now i just realized that my lens isnt going out, its stuck or something, god this really sucks, pllease help as much as possible, i dont want to tell my parents :(

Good job - you did all the right things. All you can do now is sit and wait. With luck, the last few drops will evaporate in the next day and all will be well. If not, you'll have to send it in for a repair (this is not a DIY job.)

Chica, your camera is toast. Getting it repaired will cost more than a new camera. Toss it in the trash and go buy a new one.

yup. sad to say that the other guys are right. digicams are not repairable by mere mortals. If it's a fairly new camera worth more than $200 or so, it might make sense to send it in for repair, but given that you dunked it, probably not.

on the bright side, you now get to go shopping for a new digital camera. There are many fine products to choose from- however for you I'd suggest these two:

Either the Pentax W10 or the Olympus 720SW

They're both waterproof. :)
