I have a sony digital camera question?

i have the DSC-S500 and it uses batteries. I was wondering if i bought rechargeable batteries if it would work with the camera. Also, is there anyway that i can switch it to be able to charge? Let me know

Not sure about charging but assuming that they'rethe same size (AA for example) they'll work, with digital cameras you're best off buying Ni-mh or lithium batteries - they last a lot longer. It should say whether or not they're for 'high drain' devices

Also my sony camera doesn't have a port for chargin but i got a charger with it - i don't know if this is the norm or not

Hi,
Try to buy a rechargable Ni-MH batteries. I think they fit most cameras, you can be sure by checking your camera manual or buy ask at the electronics customer service desk at the nearest Wal-mart or Officedepot.
A good option is the Duracell new rechargeable batteries, it charges only in 15 minutes. You can get them together with the charger at a good price from BUY.COM, Check the following link:

If you do not have Google account you can sign up and receive 10 $ instant discount (It is 100% risk free, I have tried, myself) + Free Shipping.

Good Luck !!
