How do you fix a Sony digital camera that got soaked in Gatorade? |
So, I did the smartest thing ever and put a Gatorade bottle in my purse. I thought I had tighten the cap, but I guess not since there was about 2 inches of Gatorade in my bag! My brand new camera was in it. It was submerged probably 2-3 minutes. When I try to turn it on, the LCD screen just shows nothing but white. I took the battery and memory card out of it and wiped it off. Should I take the whole camera apart? or should I just have to wait? First of all you should have not turned it on after you too it out of the Gatorade. wipe it of with a damp paper towel so it is not sticky, that wait for it to dry if it looks dry it might not be dry from the inside so wait for a day or two and put it next to your ac so it will be comply dry. then put the clean dryad batteries it. it should work. i got mine in water and after i did that it still worked but it was slower for a couple of days but after wards it was as good as new. if it doesn't work try to find the warranty if you still have it. "How do you fix a Sony digital camera that got soaked in Gatorage?" Well, you don't. taking it apart is risky take it in to the shop, i dont know about gatorade, but mine got fixed from water just in a few days |
