Hi, I am looking for a great digital pocket camera, something I can easily put in my pocket. Here are the specs I am looking for:
$200 and under
6 -10 Mega Pixels
Image Stabilization
High ISO for really good photos in low light scenes, when they occur (or whatever else accomplishes this)
Good sized LCD screen
3x Optical Zoom or more
good video capture (640x480 would be great)
does not drain batteries like a beast
I noticed one camera had a max ISO of 1600, and another had a max ISO of 1000 but it had a "High-sensitivity mode". Which would be more desirable? Thanks. my suggestion

$188 I would check out this website www.dpreview.com you can do all sorts of camparisons there and I you can search for a cmera by features so you can put in just what you are looking for and it will come up with anything that fits the descriptions then all you have to do is find ones you like and read reviews on them. Tom's given you the perfect answer. It may be the only camera that fits your list for under $200. He owns it, too, so that is a good recommendation.
Don't be misled by "High Sensitivity" modes. This is not real image stabilization. All it does is bump up the ISO one stop so you will have a faster shutter speed resulting in less time to cause blurring. It will be a lower quality image for other reasons, though.
Take Tom's advice. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-Di... |
