What is the best batteries for digital cameras?

I have a Nikon camera and have been using energizer rechargable batteries and as far as I am concern they don't last to long. Any answers for this thanks

Any brand of rechargable batteries will do. Theres no need to pay top dollar for a name brand. Make sure you buy 2 sets of batteries so that when your batteries die you will have back up while the other ones recharge. (well, depends on how often you use it, I guess)

Try the Energizer E2s or the lithium ion batteries. Different cameras work well with different batteries.
Also there is a new type of alkaline battery that is supposed to last 5 times as long as the usual ones.

I use nothing but the rechargeable batteries that came with my Nikon digital camera.
Cameras eat batteries like crazy. But keep a fresh pack of Duracell or Energizer in your pocket in case the rechargeable loses power.

Go with lithium batteries ...

Heinz M is right, so vote for him. The Energizer e2 Lithium batteries really last longer than any other non-rechargeable batteries. My son has had some in his Canon A620 so long that he forgot when he put them in.

I would always recommend using rechargeables as the most cost effective method of powering your camera.
You don't say what power of Energizer rechargeable you are using. But perhaps it's not their highest available NiMh of 2500mAh (their lowest is only 1700mAh).
And other brands are available at up to around 3000mAh.
Don't forget that using the LCD on your camera drains a lot of power, as well as the flash...so keep that in mind.
Also...rechargeable batteries are designed to self-discharge (lose their capacity) at the rate of 1/2% to 1% per day...so, if you have not used your camera in a while, then you should always give them a charge before you want to use your camera. And if your batteries have been unused for several weeks or more, then they may need 2 or 3 charging cycles to reach full capacity.
The Energizer e2 Lithium batteries (throw-aways) are great to keep as a backup. However, they are expensive and not the sort of battery you would always use.
