*SoulEyes Photography>>>Digital Camera battery

I just bought a digital camera and it won't turn on. Why?

Do I need to fully charge the battery before it will turn on? My new camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-W35/W55, and before charging the battery I tried to turn it on, and nothing happened. So I charged it for about 10 minutes, and still nothing. I know that charging time takes 330 minutes, but I am still curious that maybe something is wrong with it? I inserted the battery pack correctly, and let it charge for a while. But I'd still think that the battery pack would include at least A LITTLE charge when I bought it. Please answer? Thanks. =]

You have to charge the batteries to full first.

i would first...read the instruction manual , which would probably answer this question. if you don't want to go that route, charge the batteries fully and then give it a try. and don't unplug it in between times. i know you are excited about getting started, but some things take time.
