Why do alkaline batteries run down so rapidly in my digital camera?Alkaline batteries are not designed for heavy use, and digicams require a lot of power. Alkalines should only be used in an emergency.
Get a set of NiMH rechargables with a rating of 2100 ma or higher. (AA's) Costco has a set with 6 AA's and a small fast charger for $18. It works great! These will last for 200 to 300 pics depending on your camera.
Good Luck There are really quite a bunch of reasons.
First and foremost is the technology in the battery.
Others like how often you use the flash, how often you leave your camera on,
how often you look at the screen of the camera etc.
Recommended to switch to lithium ion batteries they store more energy.
Can also consider rechargeable Ni-MH batterries.
Hope this will enhance your picture taking experience. The alkaline battery's energy density and voltage are not energy to drive digital camera. Li-ion, Ni-mh batteries have the higher energy density and voltage, can keep longer work time.
And as I know batteryspace supplys all kinds of rechargeable batteries for digital camera. |
