I have an Hp 735 digital Camera. Is it better to use rechargeable batteries or high quality alkaline? The cheapest and best solution is to get NiMH rechargeable batteries. A 4 pack of 2500 mah AA batteries will cost you about $10. A charger runs about $10-30. NiMH batteries will easily outlast your average AA battery, from my experience they can last up to 10 times longer. And in the long run you save a lot of money. You can find these batteries at your local Target, Walmart, Radio Shack etc... Try the new Lithium batteries, I know you will love them... By the way, rechargeable batteries are also good, because you don't have to spend a lot of money buying batteries, just recharge them and that's it, but I would go with the lithium ones. For the environment, rechargeable batteries are always better than alkaline. But I have made the experience with my digital camera (it is Nikon, not Hp, but there should be no difference in that respect)that a fully charged battery lasts longer than the best new alkaline battery! If you are planning a longer trip where you cannot always recharge, mount your camera with a fully charged battery and take an alkaline one along for emergencies. Now I wish you good shooting with your camera. |
