Need digital camera with alternate power source to AA batteries, any suggestions?

Some cameras have an AC plug. If you buy the optional AC adapter, you can use the wall-power to power the camera.

The one advantage of AA is the ready availability in cases of emergency. If you're on vacation and your rechargeables die, you can stop anywhere and buy some AAs.

I own a Nikon Coolpix S4 and it runs on AA, so I bought rechargable that only take 30 min. to charge. The batteries last a long time & are fairly inexpensive. We went to Disny World this summer and I didn't have to charge them for more than 2 days.
