I am planning to buy a digital camera?

I am planning to buy a digital camera ranging between Rs.7000-Rs.10,000 here in bangalore.Can anyone tell me as to which make would be the best.Also the details of number of pixels,optical,life of battery,kind of good shutter it should have,etc.The best shops where I could purchase it.

The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550

* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support

ok you can buy who are stopping you

nikon

my suggestion
go to yahoo shopping

digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions

I suggest Canon Powershot or Sony's Cybershot models... they are good and easy to use..

Some points u shud consider..

- go for 5 to 7 pixels - gives u 8x10 prints
- more shooting modes like night, portrait etc. if just wanna point-and-shoot..some models come with models like even cuisine, books etc.
- optical zoom max u can afford .. at least 3x ..- dont look at digital zooms..they can b achieved using software
- less shutter lag..(1/2 second or less) this means some cameras have a focussing delay between the button click and actual photo.. it could lead u to miss crucial moments...
-shutter speeds of 1/1000s or more (for action)
-AA or AAA batteries ( u can always find them at shops..if battery charge runs out)
-high speed USB
-good video quality with sound..continuous shootin possible
-red eye correction
-antishake , ie.stable cameras

If u r interested in serious photography, buy a camera that also offers some manual adjustments

- manual adjusting of aperture - say from f/2 - f/16
-exposure time - 1/1000s - 1s atleast

there are a lot of models availble amongst sony and canon ..choose one that fits ur interests.

dont know abt shopsss..in bangalore..

Many say the Olympus SP-550 is the best cheap high quality camera. If you can't take good pictures with it then you shouldn't be using a camera at all. It retails at about $500 USD.

you can buy canon , because this is the best in the world but is quit expensive, quality is excellent ,u can try 6 megepixel camera.5 megapixel is with in Rs 10,000
