What does OB failed mean on a digital camera???

i have a digital camera, it is just a reg 6Mega pixel one, and when i turned it on, the pixels are distorted and that is says OB failed. also, it keeps on flashing and does not stop unless you unload the battery. is there any best option for me aside from replacing it with a new one???
