i have a sony cybershot digital camera. it slipped out of my hands into a cup of coffee in front of me! only one corner fell in (the battery and memory card end). i dried it completely and it works ok, the pictures come out clear. the only problem is, the flash doesn't go off at the right time sometimes. for example, if i take a picture, sometimes it comes out a little dark as if the flash didn't go off. does anyone know if this is something that can be repaired? it only seems to be a problem with the flash not being simultaneous with the click. any help or info would be much appreciated! It's hard for us to tell exactly what broke on your camera, but the answer is always the same. The only way to get it fixed is to send it in to the authorized service center. You can't fix these little guys. Anything can be repaired if you want to spend enough money! In this case, it sounds like it is not a huge problem. The liquid may have gotten into the end of the camera which is usually where the main capacitor for the flash is. It could be partially shorting out the capacitor causing the flash to not fire correctly.
Get it to a camera repair shop for an estimate. Don't take it to a camera store that sends repairs out or else you will end up paying for the repair and the store's markup!
