I live in the USA and just bought a Fujifilm Finepix Digital Camera (orange color) V10 5.1MP with 3.4X Optical Zoom.
I will be traveling to Denmark. I will take the AC Power Adapter AC-5VW that came with the camera along with me to Denmark. When the batteries become low while I'm in Denmark, can I just put a Danish adapter plug into the existing plug on the AC-5VW, or do I have to plug the AC-5VW into another separate converter (that converts the European 220V into 120V)?
Is the AC-5VW capable of converting 220 volts into 120 volts thereby allowing me to only need to use a Danish adapter plug? If not, then what type of power converter would be suggested?
Thanks to any and all who reply. Sorry I am not familiar with your precise charger, but it is usually written on them. These days most of them are OK. Written on them somewhere will be something like this:
Input: 110V - 240V 5W
or
Input: 110VAC-240VAC
Note the 110 to 240? If it goes up to 240 it will be OK. Mostly now manufacturers make them that way so that they only have to make one charger for the whole of the world market. it depends on the adapter. Some adapters can work with 120, some can work with 220 and some can work with both. Read the manual that comes with it. If it is specific to 120 then you should get another one that works with 220 and you can just use that one to charge the batteries. |
