My digital camera (the one at this link: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.j... is broken. The little battery slot on the bottom will only shut when the batteries are not in there but it wont when there are. I use duck tape to hold it shut, but because its broken like this it only lets me use it for a few minutes without saying the battery is dying or is dead. How can i fix this? Or where can i go the fix this? Or do i just need a new camera? It could just be that the battery contacts on the inside of the battery compartment, or on the hinge/door itself have become raised through use.
Make sure that the metal contacts are not causing your battery to stick out, and gently press them back down with a pencil.
Alternatively you may need to order a replacement battery cover from kodak...or failing that...bin it (or whack it on ebay!!) and treat yourself to a new one! Camera repairs these days don't really seems worth it considering the price of new digital cameras these days.
Best of luck
Jack. I would visit www.Kodak.com support section. You should be able to purchase a new part. |
