Digital camera EXPERT needed!?

I have a 4-year-old digital camera that was just given to me. And it has no directions. I just put four new double A batteries in it.

The name of the camera is PDR-M60 and it's a Toshiba...I want to know how long the batteries will last and how I can make them last longer. Aslo, what mode should the camera be on when it is charging? Keep in mind that it is a four-year-old camera

Here's the owner's manual:

Here's an extensive review/test:

There are others...Google for them.

Maximize battery life by using rechargeable AA's and keeping the LCD screen turned off.

Hope this helps.

If the camera has a video display (a little screen, showing what the camera "sees"), turning it off will increase battery life dramatically. You'll have to look through the viewfinder to frame your photos.

You can probably find the manual online, either at Toshiba, or Amazon.com.

When charging, I'm guessing you need to turn it OFF. Make sure you're using rechargable batteries!

camera should be off when charging.
only use rechargeables.
