Cheap digital Camera for a 6 year old?

I want to buy my 6 year old daughter a cheap ( voir: really cheap??) digital camera.. cos i'm gettin fed up with her using up the battery on my mobile phone...
But who knows, maybe she'll become the next David Baily.
ps. She takes reall good care of her stuff, so not looking for a Fisher Price type... which is probably more expensive than a ' real ' camera anyway...... Any body got any ideas
Thanks D

how cheap ? my 6mpx olympus costs eur80, thats 50pounds, if you want cheaper than that try e-Bay ...

had a wee look, there's one for 17pounds:

Are you crackers?

seems like a fair swap......

The disposable digi cams at stores are cheap and good.
The only thing is that you have to take the back off and remove the memory card or upload the pics via usb port (depending on camera).

They tell you it is one time use, really it is multiple use.

There are also many micro digi cams that are $10.00 and fit on your keychain that you find at Walmart and other stores.

check out the amazon sale - they've got some good deals.

someone told me they have real inexpensive digital cameras at Walgreens...although i haven't checked it out & i don't know their price. Gee...that wasn't much help, was it??

sorry to repeat the genius above me

lol are you high?

Asda have digital cameras for 拢25 which are actually quite good ones for that price.

Walmart web site has
Crayola Kids Digital Camera for $49.84
They ca download their pictures to the computer and make stories with them.Check it out you will see what i am talking about
There is also a Bratz Digital camera
Or go to Amazon.com They have a :
Barbie Digital Camera-$20.00
Argus VGA Digital Camera Pink 2mb-$19.06

There are many old (but safe) models with 2-3MP sensor in the Net. I think it's enough for 6.

I agree with Enigma.
Wal-Mart has a lot of good cameras both cheap and expensive. And for a 6yo I would reccomend one of those keychain cameras that you can get at Wal-Mart. I had one when I was 10 and I loved it! It takes good enough pictures and is perfect for kids.

Even though she is 6 she seems to have an interest in photography that you want to nurture. Getting her a cheap disposable that doesn't take good pics may turn her off to photography completely.

So you probably want to get her something decent without breaking the bank--after all she will have it for a few years if she takes care of it.

Here's what I reccommend:

The Kodak Easyshare C653. It has an optional dock ($35-$50) that makes uploading the pics to your PC very easy...even for a six year old. And recharges the battery too.

It's a great cam with a lot of features and it takes very good pictures. It's $108 at Amazon.with free shipping

You can buy the camera dock on eBay for $25-$40. It includes a recharable battery, carrying case and lens cleaning fluid.
