Which batteries are the best for a digital camera? |
i have duracell rechargeable batteries and it seems that after i take about 10 pictures, the camera dies. it's a brand new camera, and i have been using brand new batteries too. i recharged them just once but they did the same thing and died after about 10 pictures. whats going on?? help!! thanks :) I use the lithium batteries like the duracell batterys that are designed for cameras. I dont use rechargeable because they dont last that long. Also if you use the LCD screen alot they will drain the batteries. Energizer Lithilum will last good long time. Little expensive but worth it. same problem was wid me also, exact problem is in battery only, now the thing is dat u just try other rechargble branded Alkaline battery such as Eneregy, it must be costly, but it can give long life for ur CAM. in my country its cost is $10 RECHARGABLE, no doubt about it. You have to make sure your batteries are fully charged. Also the i bought the digital concepts rechargeable batteries those were the cheapest and works good. they last 5 hours on my camera. it comes with 4 rechargeable batteries and charger for just $15. I got the batteries from Office Max. now about Lithium batteries. I had bought like 8 of them before i bought the rechargebles. the only thing about the lithium batteries is that they last for like 1 or 2, but you still have to buy the pack for like $10 with just four in it. so i couldn't keep spending money on the lithiums but they do last, but i recommend you try a different rechargeable batteries. Recharchable Duracell batteries! Make sure to charge the batteries before first use. Many batteries, if not fully charged the first time or used without charging will retain a "memory" of its previous charge, which prevents it from charging beyond a certain level, greatly reducing their effectiveness. Its true that lithiums will give better performance but decent NIMH rechargable batteries should take over 100 pics per charge. The rechargable batts are more economical, just make sure to charge them before you use them the first time! visit http://digitalcameras.fateback.com.. for information Duracell rechargeable 2650 mah nmih batteries. I use these in my Canon Powershot A710 IS. (I have 2 of those) They have never let me down. |
