Digital camera, PLEASE help!?

I want to buy a digital camera with good special effects, good resolution and zoom, and with a built in flash. preferably something with a rechargeable battery, but its okay if the battery isnt rechargeable. if anyone knows a camera with these qualities (or most of these qualities) then please tell me! Thank you so much!

Check out a Fuji S3100, S5100 (my wife own a S5000) or the S9100, they look & leef much like a 35mm. B&H photo has just about anything you may need and there site also has reviews on most of the items they sell.

I have been doing business with them for more then 25 years now.

u gotto land up on canon powershot A460 ...its great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,i recently bought that ...and i've found all the mentioned features go ahead and try it, ull love it!!!!!!!!!!

i know this sounds cheap, but I'm kind of a cheap kid. if you live near a Target, go check there. I was looking for a digital camera for myself and Target has really nice ones with pretty much all the features you want. If not there, there's always Best Buy!!

Actually all newer digital cameras use rechargeable batteries ... the best ones are the Li-ion versions.

In camera special effects give you no creative adjustments. You get what the cameras manufactures have decided is optimum.

Doing you special effects using a digital darkroom program (most cameras are supplied with one) where you can adjust with precision each (and many more by the way) effect.

Personally, i've always been comfortable with Fujifilm cameras, i've owned three so far and have not had any problems with them. If you're looking for a SLR camera, i would highly suggest the Fujifilm FinePix s9000. The resolution is amazing and with its super macro feature can zoom in as close as 1cm. It comes with four AA batteries, but you can purchase rechargeable ones seperately.

Hope this helped!

We bought the Pentax Optio E30 from Tigerdirect.com for $119 after rebate and have loved it. 7.1 megapixels and 19 scene modes. Get rechargable AA batteries and they will last quite a while

I recently bought a Samsung S630 for about 120$ at wal-mart it has good resultion(6 mp) 3x optical zoom (and digital zoom) but optical is way better and a flash. It does have some effects like "sepia" and "black and white." But i havent checked if theres anything else. the bad thing is it doesnt have a built in battery so u have to buy AA's but if you buy recharchable NI-MH batteries and a charger it works out well. If you want a camera with a built in battery then its gonna be at least 200$

hope this helps

There are too many Digital cameras on the market to list, it all depends on what your are going to use it for. Name brands are fine, but they also come at a price that is not necessary contingent on its ability to do better than others.

www.consumersreport.com is a good starting place

I just purchased this camera, it is not a Sony but it has every feature they do at a cost more suitable to my budget.

The Norcent DSC-760 digital camera is a descent camera for $199. 7 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD screen .

If you're on a budget who still want large prints, this is an awful lot of camera in the under-$200.

Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:

1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time - 300 shots per set of rechargeables;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $119 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com; $99 at amazon.com]

Review(s) can be found at www.amazon.com [Query: "Nikon Coolpix L10" along with pictures provided by satisfied purchasers.]

Good luck!
