I have a digital camera should i use regular batteries or rechargeble does it make a big difference?

Rechargeable NiMh batteries (2500 or higher) are definitely the most cost effective. Ordinary batteries are useless when they use up their power, so are extremely wasteful.
Obviously you have to outlay some cash first to buy the charger and batteries, but it is most worth it in the long run.

Rechargeable last longer, and save you money in the long run.

i have tried several rechargable ,but they do not hold charge as long

definitely rechargeable. It doesn't really make a difference which kind of battery you use but it is cheaper to recharge than to keep buying regular

Yes, it makes a big difference. It depends on what you are going to be shooting and how long. If you use a rechargeable battery and it runs out of juice, you are done whether you like it or not. However, if you are using disposable batteries, you can keep going as long as you have a good supply of batteries. I got those new picture batteries and have been a very happy person ever since. I have had both kinds of cameras and I will never get a rechargeable battery again. Where are you supposed to carry the charging unit? And even if you figure that out, where do you plug it in at? Good question!!!

It depends on how you use your camera, and how quickly your camera drains batteries.

The most cost efficient (for my camera and usage needs) is Energizer max batteries from Sam's Club. They last a long time on my Olympus camera (the more you use your screen the faster the batteries drain, also screen size is an important factor).

I'd rather use regular batteries and carry an extra battery pack of batteries than have rechargeable ones (though it is unlikely that the rechargeable ones will fail, they eventually will). If you go with rechargeable keep and extra pack of regular with you at all times.

if you're a trigger happy kinda guy and always shoot rigorously, get at least 2 pairs of 2100 (or higher) rechargable batts. if you're the type who shoots occasionally, go with ordinary batteries. take them out when you're not using your camera.

The most important difference is in the cost. For long term use (I mean more than 1 year) rechargeable is the best solution. You need 2500mA and must be a brand name just for quality. You may notice rechargeable are only 1.2V instead of 1.5V as regular batteries are.

For short term: Li-Ion regular batteries.

in any case, regular or rechargeable batteries you need more than a set - one set in the camera another one for back-up.

Certainly go with rechargeables! Any advantages disposables have are nullified by the fact you have to throw them away. Very wasteful! Think of the environment!

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
