I dropped my digital camera and i can't turn it back on, why?

I was taking pics with my bear & i dropped the camera. The batteries fell out as well but i put them back in. I tried turning it on but the 'on' light flashes on one second and cuts off the next. What's wrong with it? & What do i do to turn it back on?

I'll give you an analogy...

Suppose a person drops three floors (comparable to a camera dropping a few feet), do you think the person is still operational afterwards? It's likely the person will have to be taken to the hospital to get patched up and fixed, or if they land on their head its likely they are history.

Do you see now? Humans and cameras are delicate instruments. They don't take too kindly to being dropped a large distance.

you cant drop those kind of things! its like with an ipod the hard drive if shattered on the inside...

Try new set of batteries. Probably won't do anything different, but it won't hurt to try.

Cameras are not MP3 players or cell phones. They are delicate instruments than cannot take a lot of abuse.

If there is any physical damage that says. "I got dropped", your warranty is no good.

If may cost you less just to buy a new one and treat it like it is your baby.

maybe try putting in some new batteries. if that doesn't work, then maybe because it shattered or something cracked.
