Lumix digital camera?

i have a lumix digital camera which i bought and it came with some batteries but it seem like they ran out fast. why is that i havnt used my camera alot. and those are the batteries im suppose to use? which batteries work well with cameras or with atleast this type of camera ?

you need to use rechargeables

If it uses AA batteries, go with rechargeable batteries if you can, AA batteries die very quickly in digital cameras. Also, Panasonic ships cheap batteries with the camera, so hopefully you'll have better luck with a different brand of batteries. =)

as jlukew said, go with rechargables, but make sure they're digital camera specific, they have longer life..

I bought a charger+4AA battery pack for 20$ (energizer brand) at walmart.

Normally, the batteries that come with a camera have a minimal charge left on them at best. If they are not rechargeable, replace them with ones that are. It is a good idea, as batteries are so cheap now, to get a second set while you are at it. Then one set can be charged and ready to go while the other is in your camera. In my case, I carry 3 back-up sets in my camera bag along with a lot of other stuff, My Pentax SLR and It's prime lens, charger, mini tripod, remote control, several filters, lens cleaner, etc.etc. even another lens (telephoto) and a Vivitar pro. flash. Metal-hydroxides have pretty well replaced Ni cads by now and come in several sizes as far as amp/hours of use goes. The 1800 mah are quite cheap now as are the 2000 mah ones. the 2500 mah are priced quite reasonable and it seems even the newer 2800 mah ones are coming down in price. Harbor Freight is selling 4 packs of Ni cads for around $3 and 2000 mah M/h's for $4. It's not been that long ago that an 1800 mah battery went for $7 each!!!.

Digital Camera's and AA batteries don't really mix well due to the power requirements either go for Li-Ion rechargeable (most Lumix Cameras offer this as an option and many as standard (some cant take AA only the rechargeable).

if you HAVE to use AA batteries go for the Lithium ones they hold more power and can recharge better.

the Lumix camera's which have the rechargeable batteries offer battery life of 200 or so shots per camera as opposed to 15-20 for those with the AA batteries it makes sense!

go with energizer e2 lithium batteries! they are awesome! they are the blue and silver batteries you can get at about any retail store. they're a little pricy but they're worth it in the longrun
