What happens if i use normal batteries instead of Alkaline or rechargeable ones in a digital camera?

digital camera manuals make no mention of normal off-the-shelf batteries that are not alkaline or rechargeable, is it detrimental to the camera if you use them when you're stuck?

Not really they all are 1.5v batteries the life of the batteries is just really bad.

Nothing, they just wont give enough power, so you'll have to swap them every 7 or 8 snaps.

they last the same as other, but the truth is covered up by the gib alcaline batteries companies.

they will die out within about 10 flashes it sucks just spend a little more on alkaline it will save u money

Digital camras use up power quikly. Rechargables may be more expensive, but if you plan to use your camra a lot then i would recomend them.

nothing, but your batteries will get uncharged very fast

If you use alkaline batteries nothing bad will happen at all. The camera will work fine. I do not advise the use of regular batteries only because they will not last long. Not worth the effort. I have been using alkaline batteries in my digital for years with no problem at all.
I hope this will help you.
